Join us in our Clay Studio for a one-of-a-kind pot-throwing experience! Our welcoming Studio Hosts will give you a brief demonstration, then set you up on the wheel and guide you through the steps to create your very own Jasperware pot.
Introduction to Throwing
3 hours | £75pp
Wednesday & Sunday afternoons
Our introduction to throwing session offers the opportunity for a more in-depth pot-throwing experience. During the first half of your studio time, you will focus on the key skills required to throw an evenly formed cylinder.
After a refreshment break, where you are welcome to order drinks to the studios from our Wedgwood Tea Room, our Studio Host will give a second brief demonstration, focusing on shaping basic forms on the wheel.
You then have an hour and a half to put your newfound pot-throwing skills to the test with the continued support of our wonderful studio hosts.

Throw A Pot: One fired natural jasperware pot.
Introduction to Throwing: Two fired natural jasperware pots.
Terms & Conditions
Age: Recommended for ages 11+
Collection/ Postage: Your pot will be ready for collection from World of Wedgwood within 4-6 weeks of your visit. Postage is available at an additional cost.
Extras: You can pay an additional fee on the day for extra fired pots and glazing.
Cancellations: Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before booking or for no-shows.
Accessibility: We have one height-adjustable accessible wheel. Please specify in the notes if you require this.
Please note: Clay is a temperamental medium which may crack when fired.
