Our Clay Studio offers the perfect workspace for passionate beginners and intermediate throwers to practice independently on the potter's wheel while enjoying the company of fellow clay enthusiasts. 

These sessions do not provide tuition and members of our Clay Community should have a basic understanding of clay preparation, throwing and clean-down processes. 

Workspace must be booked in advance. We want to make sure this is as inclusive as possible, and we appreciate a potter must start somewhere! Therefore, if you need extra advice if you are suitable for the sessions, please get in touch.

• Priced at £25.00
• 2.5 hours in the studio
• Towels and aprons will be provided
• Use of up to 6lbs of jasperware clay

More Details

• Sessions are Mondays - 13:30 – 16:00 and Thursdays - 10:00 – 12:30 (Term time only).
• A Creative Studio Host will provide an introduction to the workspace and supply you with clay, an apron and a towel.
• Please note, that this is not a taught session, but an opportunity for individuals with some throwing experience to practice independently and refine their skills.
• You will be responsible for preparing your clay and ensuring your workstation is fully cleaned before the session concludes.
• Additional clay can be purchased on the day. Bisque or glaze firing options are available for an added fee.
• Tea, coffee and refreshments are available to purchase on-site.
